Installing on new system
Hey there,
I have been experimenting with CPanel installed on a CentOS7 VM made in UnRaid. I have ordered a new server to use for CPanel. It will have a dual AMD EPYC 7453 2.75GHz, 28C/56T along with 256GB DDR4 RAM.
What are the best practices when it comes to starting with a fresh install of CPanel and migrate the data over? Should I use WindowsDatacenter and then make VMs for CloudLinux? I also plan to use the same server to host VPS machines through SolusVM.
Or is it easier to simply install CloudLinux on the new server and set up everything directly (CPanel and SolusVM)?
Any recommendations?

I would go for creating VPS on the main server, so if in future I want another separate server I can always create another fresh VPS for any new project. 0 -
The most important thing, and really the only thing I can provide my thoughts on, is that cPanel itself won't care as long as the OS is setup properly, whether that is CentOS7 or CloudLinux or AlmaLinux. 0
