You can change the limit mails per hour in whm > tweak settings and set your own limit.

Hi Thanks for the reply I, however, do understand that, my concern is if I exceed the limit what happens to the excess emails.

In Tweak settings there is also setting: The percentage of email messages (above the account"s hourly maximum) to queue and retry for delivery.

Thanks I have just checked that and it looks like it might solve my problem however I am confused by what it means it says When an account exceeds the maximum number of emails it is allowed to send per hour, by default, any additional messages are queued for delivery and sent in the next hour. This setting allows you to limit the number of messages that will be queued by the system. For example, if you set this value to 125%, once the account reaches its hourly limit, Exim will queue any additional messages, up to 125% of the Max hourly emails per domain value. Once the account reaches 125% of the Max hourly emails per domain value, any additional outgoing messages are discarded. Does that mean if I have 150 emails only 125 will be delivered if the Max per hour was set to 100.

Yes, if the setting in the percentage of email messages (above the account"s hourly maximum) to queue and retry for delivery is 125 %- If you set it to 150 % or over all 150 will be sent, first 100 immediatelly and the rest later.
