Hey there! That particular error is almost always a problem with SMTP authentication not being enabled on the mail client side. We have some more details in this older thread here, but the information would still apply:

Thank you for your reply but it has nothing to do with email client. Outlook it is not the reason causing this error. It is cPanel / WHM configuration for some reason. My hosting provider for my dedicated server and rebuilt it but still mail is not working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you also let me know where you are seeing the OpenSSL settings you posted?

this is in exim configuratuon manager > under security tweak settings options for openSSL :)

I have those same setting in exim configuratuon manager > under security tweak settings options for openSSL Options for OpenSSL [?] This option is used for configuring SSL and TLS protocols in OpenSSL. +no_sslv2 +no_sslv3 +no_tlsv1 +no_tlsv1_1 no issues on my end sending emails

@David Gawler - what do you see in either /var/log/exim_mainlog or /var/log/maillog during the time when you try and send a message? One of those areas should give you more details if it is indeed a server-side issue.
