Hey there! It's possible the reboot isn't loading the correct kernel. If you wanted to submit a ticket to our team we could check that for you, although we don't perform any kernel adjustments or reboots on our end. Can you run the following commands on the server? whmapi1 system_needs_reboot rpm -qa |grep kernel uname -r
That would show us more details about the update and kernel.

Hey there! That's interesting as that is the latest LVE version available. Can you contact CloudLinux directly about this issue, as it seems the kernels are out of order on the system? If you have purchased CloudLinux through cPanel, you can also submit a ticket to our support team directly.

Could you open a ticket with our team so we can look into this deeper?

I recommend use kernal care for applying Security updates without rebooting your server.

Thanks. But kernelcare would not solve this problem. The error is cPanel detecting the wrong kernel anyway.

@Mecca - were you able to open a ticket?

I won't open a ticket on cPanel because of this because it takes days to respond, and that's disappointing to use cPanel!

That's definitely strange - the oldest ticket in our queue at this moment is about 5-6 hours. If it's taking us days to respond, that is very out of the ordinary.

I migrated to AlmaLinux 8 (NEW SERVER), after this I converted to CloudLinux 8.5 And the cPanel is bugged!!! Detect Kernel of CentOS 7 on CloudLinux 8? How I fix this?

Have you rebooted the server since those changes so the LVE kernel is active? That would be the first thing I would try for that situation.

I'm sorry to hear the reboot didn't fix that. Even after the reboot, is the LVE kernel not loaded? While this says CL7, I believe everything applies to version 8 as well, so it might be worth trying to work through this guide:
