Hey there! Usually when this happens it is due to an issue with the server's firewall not allowing the proper connections to our licensing machines. Can you ensure the following ports are opened for traffic?

Most likely not, although it's possible the ports may not be open at a level higher than your server. An easy test would be to run the following command from the server's terminal, which will test the connection to our licensing servers: telnet 208.74.121.82 2089
Note: your server may not have "telnet" installed, but you can do that simply with "yum install telnet" Can you try that and see if you are able to make that connection?

I've tried the command you provided me and i think that I'm able to make that connection through that port as you can see in the picture attached. are there some other ports that I need to test the connection to? Thanks

That looks good to me as well. It would be worth submitting a ticket to our support team so we could examine that system and see what is causing the installation issues.

Hi there, Does it need to be opened even in the other way because I've tried to telnet to my server using the 2089 port but I didn't succeed as you can see in the attached picture

No, per the chart in the firewall documentation I linked, port 2089 only needs to be opened outbound so you can reach our licensing server. We don't send communication back over that port.

If you could post that ticket number here I can follow along on my end and make sure this thread stays updated.

Hi there, The problem has been resolved, it was a firewalling issue with paloalto, it drops TCP unknown packets even when you authorize the needed ports. Thank you for your time
