Is fontawesome an available font on the server?
I found Fontawesome in several directories:
./usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/libraries/fontawesome
./usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/share/fontawesome
./usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/quickinstall/client/fonts/
etc.
Does this mean these fonts can be referenced from a website?
Or does each website on the server need its own fontawesome installation somewhere under the public_html directory?

Hey there! The data in /usr/local/cpanel/ isn't something that you'd be able to reference on a public website, as that all gets used internally for the cPanel software, but a normal user would not have access to those directories. You'd need a separate installation of fontawesome on the domain that needs to use it. 0 -
I get that. I figured. But I gotta say... Fontawesome resides in a LOT of cPanel/WHM/OS directories. Is that really necessary? Is a future cPanel/WHM update going to upgrade ALL of those to V6? 0 -
Most everything I'm seeing is inside /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/share/fontawesome: # find /usr/local/cpanel/* -type d -name "*fontawesome*" /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/share/fontawesome /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/share/fontawesome/js-packages/@fortawesome/fontawesome-common-types /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/share/fontawesome/js-packages/@fortawesome/fontawesome-free /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/share/fontawesome/js-packages/@fortawesome/fontawesome-svg-core
With the recent change to Jupiter I don't think we plan to keep updating this long-term, so we likely aren't going to upgrade them to v6.0
