I haven't touched the FTP settings for many months so I think some update may have caused this. Has anyone gone through this? If yes, how to solve? Best regards.

Hey there! The first place to check would be WHM >> Manage Service SSL Certificates. Does that show a valid SSL in place for the FTP service? 0 -

Hello, thank you for your reply. The SSL Certificate for all WHM/cPanel services are OK. The certificate expiration is 4/20/22 so i don't have any another idea... Best regards.0 -
just fyi SFTP is essentially FTP over SSH, so it's a completely different protocol than standard FTP. One point to remember is that when you create virtual FTP accounts via cPanel, users can not access SFTP with those authentication details. Only the cPanel account username/password is able to authenticate with SFTP. 0 -
are you using FileZilla, if you search google they have a few of these mentions as an error and others just downloaded another ftp software and use that. 0 -
@Spirogg - unless you have the ProFTP software installed, there is no proftpd.conf file on a cPanel system, so I'm not sure the same issue would apply. @owsbr - it might be best to make a ticket so we can check this directly. 0
