    dnf update works fine?

Sorry but what is a dnf update? Call me stupid...but I just am not familiar with that term.

the package manager in Almalinux as a replacement of yum (even though yum command still works).

Oh of course! But updating cpanel is not done through dnf or am I missing something?? Why would I run dnf to fix a problem with a cPanel update?

Based on your first error message you have some outdated services which fails to be updated and since cPanel use RPM packages which are being installed/updated using dnf/yum this might be the source of the problem.

Hmmm... I think I saw some forum post solutions for the same errors being solved by fixing something with the rpms. I'll need to search for that.

I had that also in one AlmaLinux server, I ran: /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/find_outdated_services --auto yum update /scripts/upcp --force

No-one said I'm unhappy about running dnf update ... why the suspicion or confusion?? At the time of responding to you, I wasn't sure why running dnf was going to help but when you gave me your explanation on how cPanel updates work and how dnf replaced yum and how yum actually still works, why would I at that time be unhappy to run dnf instead of yum???? You yourself said yum still works.... The instructions from quiteFinn came AFTER our conversation so I'm not sure why you're so skeptical. WTH?:confused:

Did running the system updates work?

I ran the commands that quietFinn gave me and I didn't get a failed notice this morning but then again, there was no actual update last night so I'm not sure if it requires an actual update to trigger the error.

If the "upcp --force" didn't trigger it, I wouldn't expect the nightly update to either.

Then I guess we could say that this is resolved then. :)
