    Hey there! That error almost certainly indicates a DNS problem with the subdomain. Although you are creating the record in cPanel, is your domain's DNS hosted on that same cPanel machine? It sounds like it is not, so you would need to add an A record for the subdomain wherever your DNS is hosted so it can resolve properly. If you aren't sure how the DNS is configured, you'd need to speak with your hosting provider or datacenter.

    So, the process of adding a subdomain in cpanel now requires direct editing of the DNS records? It used to do that automatically when you set one up. Why are features getting harder to use, with the increased cPanel costs? :-/
