Directory password

Greetings, After i set a password for a "a directory", when i try to access it over "mywebsite.com/directory" & making sure that the entered user & password are correct ... it keeps asking me for password for several times & blocking me from getting to the directory's main page. What's the solution for that? Thanks

  Hey there! That definitely doesn't sound like normal behavior. Is there also a .htaccess file in that directory that may be interfering? Do you see anything odd in the cPanel (/usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log) or Apache (/etc/apache2/logs/error_log) logs on the system while trying to access that page?

  Unfortunately there is nothing unusual :(, i have tried to delete the password & erased htpsswd file content & tried that many times but i am still facing same problem :/ !

  Do you have root access to the server? If so, you could submit a ticket to our team and we could take a look at the system for you. If not, you'd need to contact your hosting provider to have them investigate the issue.
