  That error seems specific to the MariaDB mirrors. Are you still seeing that behavior, @alanstar ?

  
  It is sporadic as I say, this was from the nightly email yesterday but I don't see one from this morning.

  That sounds more like a random connection issue than an actual problem with the update.
