Hey there! I'm sorry to hear about this issue switching back to the Apache server. Do you get any errors on the screen, or in the Apache log, when you try to make that switch?

Are you trying on Ubuntu? If so, litespeed does not work in ubuntu, there is a systemctl incompatibility, I reported the problem to litespeed a few months ago, but no solution could be found. There is an open case on the cpanel side regarding the issue.

I get this Error, and did that as described in the error didn't work, even tried switching with command line but it doesn't work.
    • Failed to switch to Apache
    • This may be due to a configuration error. To manually check this problem, please ssh to your server.
    • Use the following steps to manually switch to Apache:
    • Stop LiteSpeed if lshttpd still running: pkill -9 litespeed
    • Restore Apache httpd if /usr/sbin/httpd_ls_bak exists: mv -f /usr/sbin/httpd_ls_bak /usr/sbin/httpd
    • Run the Apache restart command manually: service httpd restart and check for errors.
    Are you trying on Ubuntu?

No, I'm using CenotOS 7 with current cPanel Version: 102.0.18 (as I described in the top of this topic).

When you try and restart the Apache service, do you see anything appear in /etc/apache2/logs/error_log?

After restarting httpd the LiteSpeed starts again, here is repeated error_logs: 2022-06-07 21:13:58.724322 [NOTICE] [5690] [T0] [Child: 5690] Setup swapping space... 2022-06-07 21:13:58.724348 [NOTICE] [5690] [T0] Successfully change current user to nobody 2022-06-07 21:13:58.724353 [NOTICE] [5690] [T0] Core dump is enabled. 2022-06-07 21:13:58.724462 [INFO] [5690] [T0] [SSL_APK] created offloader with 3 workers. 2022-06-07 21:13:58.724498 [INFO] [5690] [T0] [MODSEC] created offloader with 10 workers. 2022-06-07 21:13:58.724543 [INFO] [5690] [T0] [MODSEC_BODY] created offloader with 50 workers. If I remove LiteSpeed completely then apache won't start at all.. I even created a ticket yesterday still didn't get any reply from cPanel staff...

Thanks for that - I do see the ticket is in the queue, but our team has experienced a very high ticket volume over the last 36 hours. Since your license isn't purchased directly from cPanel it is also in the lowest priority queue, so reaching out to your hosting provider for these types of issues could potentially provide a faster response for future problems.

I understand, but my hosting provider is unmanaged and everything is on my own, that's why I created ticket here because I purchased the LiteSpeed license directly from here but because of that issue had to cancel the license but the problem is can't switch back to Apache! I want to use nginx as reserve proxy instead of LiteSpeed. now I'm stuck with it can't switch, if I remove LiteSpeed, Apache won't work, even rebuilt it and run easyapache as well but nothing helps. Thanks!

The output is: Built /etc/apache2/conf/httpd.conf OK I did all of that, it didn't help :)
