zlib.output_compression vs Optimize Website

Hello, I am playing with 2 options and noticed that when I enabled along with Compress All Content (from Optimize Website) the load time of a wordpress site increased. Do you know why? BTW, I am attaching a picture of a GTmetrix report where you can see the comparison of the 2 situations

  IME, that's not a good option and it's better to explicitly mention which content to compress, such as "text/css text/javascript application/javascript" etc. It's pointless asking the webserver to deliver images that are already compressed, for example, and is likely to increase delay.
