cPanel & gmail spam filter

Hello: I understand that you cannot feed spam emails to gmail to create an effective spam filter, so I am asking if one can use cPanel with gmail to create such a filter. I am not asking for detailed instructions, just if it is possible to use cPanel for gmail and a hint to where to read more. Thank you! Hans L

  Hello Hans, If you have enough fund to purchase Google mail service, it is good. Else, you can configure the mail account in your gmail using the option "Check mail from other accounts:" in Settings -> Accounts and Import. Do not encourage to forward mails from cpanel to gmail, since Gmail will block the mails from the server, if it is noticed some spam or high amount of mails received.

  If you could provide us some more specific details on what you're trying to do, that might help. I'm not completely clear on what you're looking to set up between cPanel and Gmail.
