PLEASE UNLOCK MY LICENSE!!
Due to development testing, WHM/cPanel has been reinstalled on my server a few times changing the FQDN. Now my license is locked. The support PIN generated by the server using /usr/local/cpanel/cpanel -S is rejected when attempting to submit
This is REALLY annoying and this function should be removed. As a company, combatting Piracy by penalizing legitimate PAYING customers is simply disrespectful. You're basically calling me a thief when I have stolen nothing and I find it offensive. PLEASE UNLOCK MY LICENSE most ricky tick, Thanks!

Hey there! I'm not able to do anything for licenses through the forums. If you aren't able to submit a normal support ticket, please contact our Customer Service team at cs@cpanel.net and they'll be able to get that taken care of for you. 0 -
Is it possible to make a "snapshot" of the server after installing cPanel? That way when you have to "go back to clean", you just restore the snapshot and everything should still be in place and it shouldn't look any different to the licencing server. That's what I've done with Hyper-V and my cPanel development platform (cPanel will not install under Docker due to systemd). Of course, if you are running on bare metal, that's not an option... 0 -
There isn't a tool inside cPanel & WHM that would do this - you'd want to speak with your host to see if they provide something at their level that would perform that function. 0 -
I have had more than a few times license issues specially when migrating servers, because of Hostname changes or anything similar. But contacting trough mail to cs@cpanel.net has been always (in my experience) very very fast to reply and solve it :) 0
