Wildcard Domain Self Sign Certificate
Hi there I'm having an issue regarding my wildcard domain it is said:
Self-signed - DNS DCV: No local authority.
But my primary domain has a certificate "AutoSSL Domain Validated"
Any thoughts on why I'm having this error?
DNS is delegated to the primary and wildcard domains.
I tried to uninstall and install the certificate still the wildcard domain is self-signed.
Thanks in advance!

Hey there! Are you using Let's Encrypt (The Let's Encrypt Plugin | cPanel & WHM Documentation) for AutoSSL on your server? You'd want to use that provider to ensure that wildcard certificates are issued. 0 -
Hi Rex, yes I'm using Let's Encrypt for autoSSL. What do you mean "You'd want to use that provider to ensure that wildcard certificates are issued." ? Thanks in advance! 0 -
Let's Encrypt will work with wildcards while the default provider of Sectigo does not. Can you try running this command against the domain experiencing issues to see if that gives you any clues on what the issue may be? Just replace "domain.com" with the specific domain you're working with: /scripts/cpdig domain.com A0 -
Hi again, when I tried on this command the A record is delegated to my DNS server and IP address. 0 -
Can you submit a ticket to our team so we can take a closer look at the configuration on that server? 0
