Hey there! How much RAM does your system have? We recommend a minimum of 3G of RAM for ClamAV, as it does use a lot of resources, so it's totally possible what you're seeing is normal activity. You can always uninstall the plugin if you wanted to remove it completely.

We have 12Gb of RAM and 6 coes on the VPS. Besides cPanel we're using Imunify360 and ASSP Deluxe (I believe we need clamAV for it). So actually I don't want to remove it completely, but just disable this every hour scans of the home directory. Does everyone have them? Why clamAV is SO slow? Scanning 30 mailboxes (60Gb total) takes the whole weekend (over 48 hours)...

Thanks for the additional details. It sounds like there could be something else happening with the machine as I wouldn't expect it to be that slow. Could you create a support ticket with our team so we can examine the server directly?

OK, thank you, I'll try that! It's my first VPS, so could you tell me, please, how fast should be scanning of 60Gb of emails? Few hours?

I actually have no idea - I don't think we have any specific timeframe or numbers on that.

@ExpertWebWorld - does your server receive a large amount of email traffic?
