    Hi! I don't believe there is a supported method to allow exceptions to the "TLS Encryption Support" setting if it's set to required. You could toggle the "TLS Encryption Support" setting to "Optional" to allow your one user to connect without encryption but still allow encryption for FTP clients that support it.

    Optional is the default setting for "TLS Encryption Support". I recommend this if you're most concerned about compatibility with older FTP clients. From a security standpoint, SFTP is better than FTP. I'd recommend using SFTP instead when possible as FTP is slowly being phased out. For example, cPanel now defaults to disabling FTP on new installations:
