Forward to your system account xxx
Hi,
If I have posted this in the wrong forum, I'm sorry.
So, there is one thing I simply don't understand in cpanel.
I don't understand how my system account works.
For example, I have a default address set to "Forward to your system account "xxx"".
I have set up an email address that is called xxx@defaultdomain.
But still, I don't get the emails from the "catch-all" to that email account.
Isn't that how it's supposed to work?

Hey there! in general, you shouldn't use the main "username@domain.com" address for actual work, as that is used by the system for processing. I'd recommend either sending the unrouted mail to a specific address with the "Forward to address" option, or using the "Discard" option so it doesn't get handled at all. 0 -

Hi cPRex, thanks for taking the time and answering this. I get that and it makes sense, however, there are messages being sent to this, so how do I read them?0 -
In cPanel >> Email Accounts you should see the username account with a blue button labeled "system" next to it. You can click the "check email" button to the right of that account to view those messages. 0 -
Hi, does anyone have a tip on how to read the emails in for example Outlook?
I simply cant get the account to "stick" to outlook.
Are there any special tips?

Have you tried using the details in our documentation here? https://docs.cpanel.net/cpanel/email/set-up-mail-client/
