Upgrading from Centos 7 to AlmaLinux with CCS active
- You have the cPanel Calendar Server installed. Upgrades with this server in place are not supported. Removal of this server can lead to data loss.

Hey there! cPanel plans to remove CCS and replace it with a better tool. I don't have any exact dates, but the email team has told me "mid year" for that release, so if you are relying on that tool it might be best to wait to perform that OS upgrade. 0 -
Hello, We are in the same train. Is there already a plan to replace CCS ? 0 -
I don't have any more details about that work at this time. 0 -
Just checkign in, has there been any movement on this? I am very keen to upgrade! 0 -
Unfortunately not - CCS is still an ELevate blocker at this time. It's best to keep on eye on this section to see when that blocker is removed - cPanel elevate documentation | Known cPanel ELevate Blockers 0 -
@cPRex: my two cents, we do have CCS running on Cloudlinux 8 with Postgres 10, can we dump the date from CCS somewhere safe, uninstall CCS, update, and import the dump? Here's what we have on one of the servers with Cloudlinux 8 and Postgres 10: # cat /etc/redhat-release CloudLinux release 8.8 (Anatoly Filipchenko) # psql -V psql (PostgreSQL) 10.23 # cat /opt/cpanel-ccs/data/Data/Database/cluster/PG_VERSION 10

I don't see why that wouldn't work? But I also don't have any details on that on my end. 0 -

Would you be able to identify where cPanel stores the PostgreSQL data for CCS on the server? Under WHM > SQL Services > Manage Databases none are listed as using with PostgreSQL in our server, so I'm not sure how I can access the cPanel CCS data to back it up before we delete it.0 -
The data is stored inside the Roundcube database, which is located in /home/username/etc/domain.com/email-address.rcube.db for each account on the system. I don't have any good/specific commands to let you pull *just* the CCS data from that database. 0 -

Thanks, in that case doesn't it mean deleting the CCS server plugin doesn't actually delete the user-related roundcube data since it's not centrally stored?0 -
Correct - removing the plugin doesn't remove the data. 0 -

Are there any plans to incorporate this sort of functionality in Elevate? If no CCS update is coming this might be a good workaround.0 -
Not that I have heard at this time. 0 -
We're facing the same issue. We have several CL7 and CentOS 7 cPanel servers that we would like to upgrade inplace using elevate.
cPanel 120 deprecated CCS plugin and replaced it by cpdavd and during cPanel upgrade, CCS data is automatically converted and imported. But CCS is still a blocker to use elevate and it is not possible to update cPanel to 120 when using CL7 or CentOS7.
We've reached out to support about the same, and their reply was that the only option to preserve data is to migrate accounts to another cPanel 120 server using the transfer tool.
We're currently seeking an alternative approach that enables us to utilize elevate while still retaining CCS data.
cPanel, could you please address this issue? Thousands of servers need to be upgraded before the end of life of CentOS 7/CloudLinux 7!

We are working on getting this resolved as part of case RE-78 and hope to have the CCS blocker fixed soon!

Thanks, we need this as well.

It seems CCS is no more a blocker. Do you confirm the same?

Yes, RE-83 is resolved as this point!
