CPANEL-42328 - "cluster_failure_notifications" not working
I've been testing DNS Cluster.
I have one working DNSONLY server in the cluster, no problems.
I blocked IP address of the web server in the DNSONLY server, and changed " Failure threshold for cluster members: 2".
I made some DNS changes in the webserver, and it took long time (over a minute) to finish it.
I went to WHM->Clusters->DNS Cluster, and the nameserver was showing "Disabled due to connection failures.".
In Global DNS Cluster Options I had selected " Receive a notification when WHM disables an unresponsive cluster member ".
I never got any notice.

Hey! Well that's no good - do you see any attempt to send it in the Exim log or an entry in the cPanel error log? Since it was smart enough to disable the bad member, it *should* be smart enough to send the notification at the same time. 0 -
Can't find any sign of sending or attempting to send the notice in any logs I can think of. 0 -
I can confirm a test environment sends the notifications. Can you make a ticket so we can take a look? 0 -

Thanks! I'm following along with that now. 0 -
I see we were able to confirm this behavior in the ticket and we have created case CPANEL-42328 for our team to work on that. I'll be sure to post an update here as I get more details. 0
