Hey there! It's impossible to say without reaching out to the specific host you have in mind, but many shared server do run a combination of cPanel and CloudLinux. cPanel offers WordPress Toolkit (WP Toolkit | cPanel & WHM Documentation) which lets users quickly install WordPress, but also offers admin solutions like automatic updates and plugin restrictions, so I'd check that out if you aren't familiar with that tool.

Is there anything to specifically "tune" the server to wordpress?

It really depends - the cPanel default work well for most people. If you have high traffic or streaming content or different needs than a typical website, you may need to make adjustments, but many users never touch the Apache or PHP settings and do just fine.

"WordPress Optimized Hosting" is mostly a gimmick IMO. WordPress is a PHP application that stores data in a MySQL database, just like WHMCS does. Any optimizations you were to make for making WordPress load faster, would most likely also make your WHMCS website load faster. A few months back, the same topic was being discussed on WHT: Wordpress hosting | Web Hosting Talk
