SMTP restriction
I"ve run into a strange situation. I"ve disabled WHM"s SMTP restriction feature, but it keeps getting reenabled after a couple of hours or after server reboot. The setting is still disabled according to both Security Center and Tweak Settings, but our WordPress sites can nevertheless not send emails through our external SMTP service. Reenabling and disabling the feature solves the issue for a couple hours. Does anyone know what could be causing the issue?
(Since we are running Imunify360, I"ve disabled the SMTP control in Imunify360 to rule out any conflicts. We are not running CSF.)

Hey there! Can you also confirm the value of smtpmailgidonly is changing inside /var/cpanel/cpanel/.config when this happens? That file is where the Tweak Settings data is stored, so it would be good to confirm that is also being updated when you see this behavior change. 0 -
Thanks for the reply, @cPRex. After rebooting the server and toggling the option, it seems to stick now. I"ll update the topic if the issue returns. 0 -
