problem receiving mail
I am having a problem receiving emails from a very popular domain, the problem is in the ssl, the only thing that appears in the exim log is the following:
2023-03-13 22:57:42 TLS error on connection from mailout-106-r4.booking.com [37.10.31.10]:28320 I=[x.x.x.x]:25 (SSL_accept): ret 5

what could be the problem?

Hey there! As a test, are you able to send a message to the same email address from other locations, such as Gmail? That would at least let us know if the issue is on your server or if there is an external problem. Could you try that and share the results? 0 -

ok I'll do the test but there is no problem in the delivery of mail to the same address from any email on the internet, it is from the booking platform to any email hosted on the server with cpanel and apparently it is not a problem with booking since I have configured another email in booking and in this case they arrive perfectly. I think the problem is in the SSL negotiation between servers0 -
Is there any more information about that transaction in the Exim log, such as lines that include the mail ID? 0 -

this is all: 2023-03-13 22:57:42 TLS error on connection from mailout-106-r4.booking.com [37.10.31.10]:28320 I=[x.x.x.x]:25 (SSL_accept): ret 5 2023-03-13 22:57:42 SMTP connection from mailout-106-r4.booking.com [37.10.31.10]:28320 I=[x.x.x.x]:25 closed by EOF0 -
I'm not sure what would be causing that issue without more data. Do you have any customizations in the Exim configuration? If not, could you try using the Reset option inside the WHM >> Exim Configuration Manager tool to see if that changes the behavior in any way? If that doesn't help with the situation, it would be best to submit a ticket to our team so we can check the system directly. 0 -
Did you guys manage to figure this out? Seems this is happening on other servers too, also outside CP. 0 -
@rhm.geerts - I don't have any additional details on my end, but let us know if you find out more! 0 -
@rhm.geerts Can you give more details, the same thing keeps happening to me and we can't find out what is happening. 0 -
Sorry for the late reply, I didn't get an email notification of a reply here. Seems in some cases on the other panel, the issue was fixed by using a correct FQDN hostname and a certificate for the hostname. However, we also see the same thing happening now with systems having a correct FQDN hostname and certificate. I'm getting a bit the impression that it's an issue caused by booking.com rather then the receiving systems. 0
