Accidentally delete /root folder content [WHM/cPanel]

    If you don't have backups then you can't althoug cPanel/WHM stores little to none under /root folder. What is the error you are seeing? Have you re-created the folder?

    What @andrew.n said - this isn't a directory that cPanel backs up, as we don't store much there. Do you have system backups or disaster recovery backups provided by your host that could be restored from?

    Hello. Thanks for your replys. I did it on accident trying to create a symbolic link because / partition is getting full. I backup it firstly, but i also delete the backup:(:mad: I run the script upcp and /root/.cpanel/ folder was created again. Also my / partition is OK again. I recreate folders like /root/.ssh/ Is cPanel use files from the /root directory??

    cPanel doesn't use much from that directly. You'll get /root/.cpanel and you likely need /root/.my.cnf for the database server's root password, but other files are likely not related to cPanel.
