Any repercussions if disable Force short prefix for MySQL?
In an effort to to avoid submitting a possibly unnecessary ticket to the cPanel support team, I'm checking here first to see if anyone is willing to share their experience.
I've been using the following settings for years now:
In Tweak settings - "Require a username prefix on names of new databases and database users" is Enabled.
In Tweak settings - " Force short prefix for MySQL and MariaDB databases" is Disabled.
I'm considering disabling that setting / requirement now, but I always worry when it comes to changes. So far from what I can tell in info such as outlined at it looks like the only caveat might be in instances when creating new accounts that share a similar account name, but I can't really tell if disabling "Require a username prefix on names of new databases and database users" might have a negative result for all the existing accounts / databases over the years.
Anyone care to share experience / opinion on this?
Thanks a bunch!

Hey hey! It shouldn't affect existing users at all - you'll just be able to use the longer prefixing on new databases. 0 -
