cPanel Solo license allows you to have one cPanel account, it doesn't limit the addon domains or aliases or subdomains you have in that account.

That was exact that what I thought. all the more I am irritated that the parked domain construct has been dissipated during the transfer from the remote server (i.e. the old one) To my understanding parked domains <> addon domains. Maybe that's causing the trouble.

I also am not aware of a reason this situation shouldn't work. Parked domains should get migrated just the same through the process you outlined. If you'd like us to check the system directly we'd be happy to take a look at the ticket. It's also possible the transfer logs (WHM >> Review Transfers and Restores) may provide you with more information as to what exactly happened with those domains.
