imunify360 unsupported dovecot version
after today/last night server core service update, my mail server stopped sending emails. i use thirdparty mail server and it uses servers imap/pop etc settings and it works fine server is all good, webmail works and it can recieve mails but when trying to send mails i get error 500 port 587:connection:connect failed.
restarted all services and saw imap services has lots of imunify360 issues as
master: dovecot v2.3.19.1 starting up for imtp, imap, pop3 (core dumb disabled)
auth:error:imunify360:unsupported dovecot version found 2.3.19.1
everything woprked all fine before core service update and now it seems it blocks ports that are whitelisted, but still cant access on send mail server
support ticket have issued and not happy for service tehre since i got plamed instantly on using thirdparty email server and second time ignoring imunify360 errors and stating to contact system security admin to get settings correctly. but how i can fix unsupported imunify360 version to supported version. allso support stated that i can close the ticket since it is not there program
well checked server updates and software updates and now kernelcare and imunify360 kernel is unsupported

Hey there! Was that support ticket created with us? If so, I'd like to review that, but this issue would be best handled in a ticket so we can check the server settings. 0 -

Thanks for the additional details. It does look like there was a highly custom configuration on the machine with two instances of nginx running that was interfering with the ports used for the mail services. This isn't something we'd be able to support, as was mentioned in the ticket, but it looks like we're looking into issues with Imunify360 at this time. We'll be replying to that ticket soon with more details. 0 -
Thanks for looking up the ticket and like I said it was working all fine before core library updates etc. Last send emails 5 and 6 April just before the update. Wierd thing is also that those nginx has difrent versions like it didint update other don't know how. Only what I can see is mail server is up and running, updated, i can log in, app and webmail and I can receive mails, but I just can't send any mails. Something with the port 587 that is whitelisted still 0 -
We'll continue to look and let you know! 0 -
i figured out the send mail issue imunify360 SMTP protection. If i tick that off all mails send and work correctly. there is settings on block all except defined ports and there is port 587 on whitelisted, but on default SMTP settings it blocks port 587 too so wierd that port 587 isd open, but smae time port 587 is blocked by SMTP settings. i had Mail group there whitelisted that didint work still cant send mail so i added crossbox to whitelist group and all works again so wierd that it happened in night 0
