Hey there! It's important to note that these features are specific to cPanel accounts that are running on the CloudLinux operating system, and may not be available to everyone in their cPanel interface. Your best option to find more details would be to check the website traffic logs on the system, which can be found in the cPanel >> Metrics section, and see if an increase in traffic corresponds to the same time as when the faults happened. The "faults" are not errors - they just indicate the times when you reached or exceeded the limits allocated to your hosting plan.

I have retrieved the Raw Access log for May 10 between 1:40 pm and 2:10 pm ... the period with the spikes. The log is an Excel spreadsheet about 28kB in size. What is an effective way to share the log records here since I am unable to figure out if they show anything out of the ordinary?

If you aren't seeing anything helpful there, it is unlikely we will either. The next step would be to reach out to your hosting provider or datacenter for additional assistance - it's possible the issue isn't something that is related to your account at all if you are on a shared machine.

I see your point. My primary interest is in 503 errors. I am attaching two PNG files. 503-errors.png shows the 503 errors recorded in cPanel > Metrics > Raw Access between 6 am and Noon yesterday, May 11. Fault.png shows Raw Access records between 9:09 am and 9:14 am today. The server hit the I/O limit during this period. Most of the records in this 5-minute window are from 18.143.36.215, Bytespider, zhanzhang.toutiao.com marked in grey. I would appreciate it if you could look at the PNG files to see if they contain anything troublesome that needs remedy. Are there things I can do to avoid the 503 errors? Many thanks!

If anything, based only off that, I would block the 18.143.36.215 IP address, as that seems to be checking multiple pages per second on your site.
