Removing PHP Junk Files Permanently from GoDaddy cPanel File Manager
Hello everyone,
I have been encountering an issue with the file manager in my GoDaddy cPanel. The problem is that there are several PHP junk files, such as default.php or other PHP error/junk files, cluttering up the file manager of my hosted websites. I would like to know the best way to remove these files permanently from my file manager in cPanel.
I have tried manually deleting them, but they keep reappearing after a while. Is there a specific method or setting in cPanel that can help me permanently get rid of these PHP junk files? I want to ensure a clean and organized file structure for my websites.
Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards, [Haris Ali]

Ummm, are you sure these are not hacks? If you are deleting them and they keep reappearing, that would indicate malicious activity. 0 -
I agree with @vanessa - I wouldn't expect to see files getting automatically created in a "fonts" directory, or files created with 444 permissions normally. If you don't have root access to the server, I'd reach out to your hosting provider to see if they can help perform a security scan of the system. 0
