Question about upgrading Almalinux 8.8 kernel 6.3.9-1

hi Currently im running Almalinux 8.8 together with kernel of 4.18.0-477 which came along when installing this OS. Question is would it be safe to upgrade kernel to 6.3 on Alma 8? Has anyone upgrade them or is there any problem after the upgrade something like booting issue etc? Thanks

  Hey there! My personal system also has the 4.18 kernel. In general, it's not advisable to update the kernel past what your distribution provides as it could case unintended problems with the machine. Is there a specific issue you're experiencing that the new kernel would solve?

  hey thanks for your feedback and advises :) There was no other particular reason what so ever and i just thought upgrading provide better layer of security and performance wise.
