Domain email question
I thought this was possible with a parked or alias domain.
Say we have domain.com and mydomain.com
Then create an email user@domain1.com
If mail is sent to user@mydomain.com it's delieverd to user@domain.com
Essentially they have 2 emails butn1 account.
I know this can be done with forwarders but trying to make it simple for the users.
Thanks

Hey there! I'm not sure how it could be any more simple than using a forwarder. You could create a forwarder for user@mydomain.com but NOT an actual email account, and then the user checks the mail at user@domain.com. That way, mails don't pile up in an email account that isn't being monitored. Is that what you're looking to do? 0 -
Yes, 1 or 2 forwarders is easy, but not so much when you have 100 emails to resetup with the new domains then have users change email clients, then setup 100 more forwarders. I know I have done it before, I swear it was with cpanel. 0 -
I'm not sure of a better way around it. You could always manually edit the forwarder file at /etc/valiases/domain.com over SSHas that would save you some clicks in the cPanel interface, but I don't have an automated way to make these changes easily. You could always do a bit of coding to create a for loop with the API here: Create email account forwarder 0 -
Ok, I will chalk it up to... it never happened. Thanks 0
