Hey there! Do they have anything after the wp-admin portion of the URL? If they are accessing a specific page it's possible that would be cached. The only issue I'm aware of with WordPress at this time is one we fixed early on, where the admin bars weren't showing up with nginx enabled: If you have a way we can reproduce this issue I'd be happy to do some testing on my end.

Hi The issue seems largely when there is nothing after the wp-admin - instead of the dashboard the users are redirected to a 404 However if they write manually wp-admin/index.php it seems to work. This issue is intermittent and i cannot reprodcue at will - however i have seen it across two servers (both cent os) and over 10 different wordpress applications. Once the cache is cleared the issue goes away for what seems quite a while. Its annoying and resolved by turning off nginx for those accounts - these wordpress accounts will tend to use wp-cache as a plugin in case thats a factor. Clearing the plugin cache does nothing. As this seems to effect a lot of wordpress sites - i was hoping others had seen it and reported it. Best regards Matt

Unfortunately I'm not finding other reports of this behavior at this point, so I don't have much to go on.

OK I"ll come back when this occurs again (as it will) - hopefully the thread will attract likewise effected users - took me 18 months to get annoyed enough to post here.
