I got error "disk usage quota" when upload file
Hello,
When i upload file through File Manager, i get this error ( attached image ):
The file"s size exceeds your account"s remaining disk usage quota. Because of this, you cannot upload this file. Delete some files, or contact your hosting provider to request an increase to your account"s quota.
This happen for every user, even unlimited disk quota user.
My server not full, still got free disk space. My PHP upload file size and post max size is 1GB. And my file is just 50MB.
When i try to upload file ( .zip file ) by SSH command line, and chown to that user, i can see the file in user's File Manager and can unzip that file. But i cannot upload that file directly through File Manager.
I still can upload small file, create file/folder. But file size larger than about 20MB is not.
Please help me.
Thank you

Hey there! The error isn't with the disk space on the server, but with the disk quota on the individual cPanel account. Can you check WHM >> List Accounts to see the quota for that cPanel user? 0 -
All my user get this error, even user with unlimited quota get this error too. Like this user in the attached picture, more than 2GB free disk, i upload 600MB file and get quota error. 0 -
What is the output from "df -h" on the system? 0 -

With / being so full, the server is definitely going to be experiencing issues. Can you free up some space there? 0 -
I will try free up some space. Thank you for your help. 0 -
I found out that because my domain:2083 is behind the proxy so i get this quota error. In this situation, i called this proxy is proxy1 and it running CentOS. When i access hosting by IP:2083, i can upload successful throught File Manage. Then i point my domain to another proxy, this is proxy2. This proxy2 is running Ubuntu. But i still got the quota error when upload throught File Manager. So how can i find what cause the problems. Because i used 2 different proxy and get the same quota error. 0 -
I'm not sure how a proxy between you and the server would affect the system's quota - those two shouldn't be related, as cPanel doesn't care how you access the system, and wouldn't change the quota based on that. Do you also have access to WHM, or only to the cPanel account? 0 -
I also have access to WHM. 0 -
What happens if you try from a completely different network, such as tethered to a phone or tablet, or a different wireless? Do you see anything else odd in the main cPanel error log (/usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log) when the File Manager error happens? 0 -
"Although this post may be old, I’m providing this guidance here in case others encounter the same issue."
You may have proxied all your domain records through Cloudflare. This error occurs when you have created an independent cPanel account for the subdomain, and, for example, you try to upload a file through cPanel using subdomain.yourdomain.com:2083 . You can remove the proxy for your subdomain record and then try uploading the file again.
