How to Establish a cPanel-created /tmp directory?
Hi there,
Currently there is a /tmp partition on the box I am working on and I'd like to ask about the process of establishing a tmp directory that will be managed by cPanel (/dev/loop tmp dir) so that I can increase or shrink it as needed without messing with that partition.
Thank you for any advice or links!

Unfortunately I don't know the answer to that one, as cPanel doesn't manage the partitions on the server. Your host would be able to let you know more about that end of the configuration. I don't see why that wouldn't work, but I'm not going to be the one to say "yes" and then have you accidentally destroy an entire server :D 0 -

No worries at all, thank you for helping! This is not in a production environment so I will play around and see how it is being handled, might unmount, use the securetemp perhaps and see if that can work. Could be that cPanel does so during initial installation only when no /tmp is being partitioned, most likely. Thank you!0
