"Filter Incoming Emails by Domain" > Wildcard = Domain + All subdomains?
In WHM 110 > "Filter Incoming Emails by Domain", does using a wildcard [*.quitmoney.skin] also filters zzz@quitmoney.skin emails or only zzz@zzz.quitmoney.skin ?
Thx

There is the second dot in *.quitmoney.ski and only one dot in zzz@quitmoney.skin so no, it's not filtered. 0 -
OK, so do I have to duplicate the whole list and make each other row not begin with *. just so all the domains + all their subdomains are filtered? There's got to be a better way of telling WHM to block domains + all their subdomains? It seems as though this module was not well thought through. Like, is there a way to write a single line in there that will match both quitmoney.skin and anything.quitmoney.skin at the same time? 0 -
Couldn't you just add a separate rule for the subdomains? Have domain.com and *.domain.com in the rule list? It's more of an issue with us having to be very specific with how Exim handles headers and filter data, and not so much a limitation of the tool. 0 -
So instead of 100 lines, the list will be 200 lines. I guess I'll start duplicating each row to have both the domain and the wildcard subdomain for each one then... I don't know why, but I was expecting to be able to just filter whole domains by entering e.g. domain.com 0 -
Very interesting! Thanks 0 -
I mean if there aren't any simpler solution, let's close this thread. Thx. 0
