I personally did not try it. We rather moved accounts to a new server, moved IPs and got the migration done.
    • Can cPanel provide me with a free license for one month to use on the backup server? - You can use it for 15 days which i think is more than enough to perform a migration. If you need it for a month, you should contact cPanel sales team and ask if they can offer one.
    • Does cPanel offer a migration service to save me from this task? - They offer migration services from third-party control panels to cPanel and WM but not sure if they can do it for your task. Its better you can submit a ticket ans ask them.

Our migration services do not cover upgrading a system. You can read what we do cover here in the very first section:

Thank you for your answers, I have other questions: 1- before I transfer the accounts to my new server with "Transfer or Restore a cPanel Account" I have to transfer the server configuration (whm settings, packages, etc...) how to do this, I found just how to transfer the accounts. 2- the transfer of accounts with "Transfer or Restore a cPanel Account" transfer them with their passwords and username?

The Transfer Tool has options to move configurations as well. More details on that here: Transfer Tool | cPanel & WHM Documentation Yes, all usernames and passwords stay the same and get moved as well.

I am currently on version "110.0.12", the transfer is normally done to the latest version? Do you advise me to transfer the accounts first then the whm configuration or the whm configuration then the accounts?

Maybe you mean the Transfer Tool, in WHM -> Transfers -> Transfer Tool There you can transfer accounts, packages and server settings.

You can do both the accounts and the configurations at the same time with the tool.

We never remove data - the Transfer Tool only moves the data to the new machine. If you enable the Live Transfer option (Transfer Tool | cPanel & WHM Documentation) the sites and connections will also be proxied from the Source to the Destination machine, so there is zero downtime while you make your DNS changes.

i want to make a backup copy, I'm going to copy my data on a low cost server, then I do the update on my main server, so I want to copy the sites and config on my low cost server while keeping them on my main server
