Is it possible to change the servers dedicated ip?
When i purchased my dedicated server it gave me a dedicated IP. I've had the same dedicated IP for years on the server. I want to release the IP and renew it so i can get a new dedicated IP.
I am willing to reformat the server. I don't have anything valuable on my server.
Do i contact the hosting company to give/change a new ip or can i just do that from the WHM panel?
The reason i want a new IP is for learning and testing purposes.
Note i am on a dedicated server and i can easily re-install the OS but it will give me the same IP. Which i already tried.

You will need to contact your hosting provider to change your IP. You can not change IP in WHM if you do not have a new IP. 0 -
If you're willing to reformat the server, I would just order a new server and then use the Transfer Tool to move any data you want. That will eliminate the need to manually adjust the IP on the machine as it will be new and configured fresh from the start. 0 -
I did order a new server for testing purposes but the panel on the server is different then my old one. I believe all the new servers are on the ovh cloud even the soyoustart servers. I don't like ovh cloud. I like soyoustart but i can't get a soyoustart server with the old panel anymore. I'm not a big fan of ovh cloud. alt="servers.jpg">84885 all the soyoustart servers say "order on ovh cloud" alt="Screenshot_2023-10-17_11-34-28.jpg">84889 It wasn't like that in the past. But i've had my soyoustart server for many years. Im surprised they didn't migrate me to the ovh cloud. 0
