Regarding vCPU and Processor Type
Hi...
We have some cPanel Servers on Google Cloud VMs.... and my question is regarding what happen to the license when changing either the processor type or the numbers of vCPU....
There are dates when we can predict high traffic is comming and we may increase the power of the server....
But before that we need to know if the license will be locked by that. Or if this is not on the terms.....
May i have some information please, i tried google but there is no info....

cPanel licenses by IP. As long as that does not change, you should be fine. 0 -
What @ffeingol said - I wouldn't expect this to cause any issues. If your NIC address is changing, that can lock the license, but scaling the CPU on a cloud system will be just fine. If something odd does happen with the license a quick ticket to our Customer Service team will get that resolved. 0 -
We changed the processor type and numbers of vCPU and everything went smooth....Thanks for your answers! 0 -
I'm glad to hear that! 0
