CalDav no longer accessible from my Rainlendar Windows App after cPanel upgrade
I am using CalDav and WebDav on a hosted server. My hostting company upgraded the cPanel version to 110.0.14 yesterday. Since then I can no longer access my CalDav calendars. I use Rainlendar on Win 10. The original address was . Although these are the instructions for iOS and Mac. Instructions for Windows are missing entirely (?!).
So my question is, why can I no longer access my calendars after this cPanel upgrade. What has changed and how can I fix it? I need my calendars for work.

Hey there! The short answer is that your host should have been better prepared for this change, and notified you about the changes coming. It is likely they did not move your contacts over to the Roundcube system as part of the update. We've had this announced for over a year now, so they had plenty of time to make these changes properly: You won't be able to do anything on your end as the user to resolve this issue, as you don't have root access to the system. I'm sorry I don't have better news on this one, but if you reach out to your host they should be able to help. 0 -
OK thank you. I have submitted a ticket with them. Turns out they did inform users via email, but I just did not read it . My bad. I am still not fully functional again though. Since the host did make backups of the old calendars in the form of ics files, I have tried to import these ics files into the RoundCube CALDAV calendars. I managed this for my main login ID, but not for email aliases where I was only able to import the ics file into the DEFAULT Calendar (in my setup I see 2 calendars, one called "default" and the other "cPanel CALDAV"). Another problem is that the CALDAV URL that is being shown in both cPanel and RoundCube points to a calendar that is empty. So again to clarify, although I was able to import the ics file to the "cPanel CALDAV" calendar in Roundcube (and the events show correctly there), if I add the calendar URL shown to me in Roundcube or cPanel (including the user ID and password) to my MS Windows calendar App (which can read CalDav calendars), then the calendar is empty. So it looks like the URL is not ponting to the correct calendar. If I click on "Edit/Share" calendar, the URL field is empty and I can't seem to edit it. For instance, if I put the RoundCube URL there and hit save, I get a split-second error message (it disappears before I can read it) and if I click on the Edit/Share again then the URL field is still empty. Is this a bug or a bad setup by my hosting company? 0 -
I would expect the URL would need to change in your app to get to the correct calendar. Ultimately, your host would have to confirm that and then provide you with the correct instructions for your environment - I just don't have those details on my end. 0
