Hey there! I guess I don't understand the question as Nginx and PHP-FPM work together without any special configuration necessary. You would just need to install Nginx through WHM >> Nginx Manager and then ensure PHP-FPM is enabled in WHM >> MultiPHP Manager, and the two will work together. Are you seeing a specific problem with the system that you're trying to resolve?

okay, so can I just by-pass apache? I read the documentation and it seemed to me nginx works as cache only. is there a mode where I can have nginx replacing apache? Thx for your feedback.

There is an experimental option for standalone Nginx that you can read more about here - NGINX" Standalone | cPanel & WHM Documentation
