EasyApache 4 want to add PHP 7.4 but it wants to uninstall python
Hi Guys,
now i could be totally missing some thing here.
I am using Ubuntu v20.04.6 with cPanel & WHM v114.0.12 (STANDARD)
here is my process,
EasyApache 4 - Currently Installed Packages - customize
i choose PHP 7.4
on review i get
Please review the following list of packages you are about to uninstall by provisioning this profile.
alt-python38
alt-python38-setuptools-wheel
alt-python38-libs
alt-python38-pip-wheel
yet i have gone through all the options listed and there is nowhere listed sayings its going to uninstall python
so i dont understand why it wants to uninstall python?
your wise wisdom would be much appreciated :)

Hey there! I don't see these packages present on a default installation of cPanel on Ubuntu. Normally when I see "alt" in front of a package name, I think CloudLinux, but that wouldn't be the case on Ubuntu. Can you see where those packages were installed from originally? The most likely explanation is that they are just not compatible with the PHP version and tools you are installing. If you aren't using any Python tools, it is likely safe to remove those. 0 -
