Hello, cPanel no longer packages or distributes ImageMagick with cPanel & WHM as of cPanel & WHM 11.36. While we did leave the "script" in place, it no longer references any cPanel & WHM distributed version of ImageMagick. When you run /scripts/installimagemagick, it is quite literally leveraging your operating system's package installer and then installing the version provided by your distro. You will see a deprecation message displayed to this effect when you run this script. Therefore, there is nothing for cPanel to update here since we're not distributing it. The version installed is dependent on your OS distribution. Your options are to manually download and installed the RPM for the latest ImageMagick or otherwise appeal to your OS vendor (RHEL/CentOS) to have them distribute newer releases. The former would, of course, be much quicker. 0 -
Spent hours on this. Never found a way to update the ImageMagick installed in cPanel. 0 -
Go here: [url=http://www.imagemagick.org/script/binary-releases.php]ImageMagick: Install from Binary Distribution And download + install the new RPMs manually. Not that hard. 0 -
Those docs leave out a lot of things like adding the EPEL repository to yum, installing RPMForge, and a lot of instructions which are important on CentOS 5 vs. 6. I finally found a good writeup here: [url=http://www.webdesignblog.asia/operating-systems/linux-os/updateinstall-imagemagick-centos-5-centos-6/#sthash.17vJazBO.dpbs]Update/Install ImageMagick on CentOS 5 and CentOS 6 - Web Design Blog 0
