Install latest ImageMagick instead some old version
/scripts/installimagemagick install some old version of IM 6.5.4 :(
Is there option I can use to install latest one 6.8.9 or as close to latest ?
Contacted VPS hosting support and they told me thay can't install other than cPanel install:

Support: your present Cpanel support only this version of imagemgick.
Me: So if we now install latest ImageMagick 6.8.9 via SSH, later at cPanel update cPanel will downgrade it back to older v.6.5.4 ?
Support: Cpanel does not allow to install. Even though if we do, we will get compatibility issue.
I am stuck with old version and my scripts don't work as old version do not support options I need for convert :(

Hello, ImageMagick is RPM based and distributed by your OS. cPanel does not install a custom ImageMagick, so make sure your yum repos are updated and then it should get the latest provided by your OS. 0 -
Hello, You can install ImageMagick using below command : yum install ImageMagick

Hello, You can install ImageMagick using below command :
yum install ImageMagick
That just installs the old version again. This writeup walks you through the exact process to uninstall the old ImageMagick, update the yum repository, download the correct ImageMagick and dependencies for CentOS 5, and install them:0 -
