Transfer errors with accounts that have add on domains

When doing live transfers on sites that have addon domains, we are getting these errors.

Site without addon domains seem to transfer fine. Its causing us greif as we need to clean up after.

 

Failed to restore the domain “xxx.au.xxx.com.au”: Restoration of “xxx.au.xxx.com.au” will be skipped because it requires that “au.xxx.com.au” be created before it can be restored.

any ideas?

  I have been burnt by this on the 15th of December when I have migrated a server and cPanel's Transfer Tool lost some 30+ addon domains server wide. Now I am preparing a new transfer. The destination server is on 116.0.11. Should I expect the same problem? Thanks!

  CPANEL-43609 was fixed as part of 116.0.9, so I would not expect an updated 116 system to run into these problems at this time.

  Hello guys.

  Still facing this issue on Cpanel 124.0.21

  Failed to restore the domain “sub.domain.com”: Restoration of “sub.domain.com” will be skipped because it requires that “domain.com” be created before it can be restored.

  Hello, sorry to bring up old issue. Just tried to restore an account on different server and got this errors. Cannot restore subdomain because main domain doesn't exist

  what shall i do?

  bananacy - can you let me know which version of cPanel you were restoring from and to so I can check this?  Ultimately it might be best to create a ticket as I haven't heard of this issue happening recently.

  I re did it the restore and also enable parked domains and it worked. so we good. restored 3 accounts, happened once on one. all good
