    You say that this happens in his email client, so you would likely want to check the SSL certificate on the Dovecot service. However, the certificate details that you pasted above for the cPanel/WHM/Webmail service does seem to indicate an expired cert. Not After: Oct 5 23:59:59 2014 GMT
    Today's date: Oct 8 2014 I would check that the correct certificate is installed in "Manage Service SSL Certificates" and then restart the Dovecot service.
