Problem with DNS and mail Server Configuration
Recently I am trying to send emails and some of them returns back to me with error.
I try to use the http://www.dnsqueries.com site and the report is
The configuration of your mail servers and your DNS are not ok! The report of the test is:
domain.org.gr. -> server.domain2.gr -> 95.170.xx.xxx -> xxx.xx.170.95.in-addr.arpa
Spam recognition software and RFC821 4.3 (also RFC2821 4.3.1) state that the hostname given in the SMTP greeting MUST have an A record pointing back to the same server.
Can you help me please

It appears that your servers hostname (e.g. server1.domain.com) has not had an "A" entry set up for it in your DNS. If it has been set up, it may not be configured correctly... Make sure you have an A record setup for your servers hostname in your DNS. Also, it wouldn't hurt to make sure that your host has set rDNS (Reverse DNS) on your IP address(es) to point back to your servers hostname. If that fails, get back to me. I'll be happy to provide some remote assistance. In WHM DNS Editor: server.domain.com A 112.113.114.1150 -
Hello :) Yes, please ensure your hostname resolves to your server's IP address and that IP address has an RDNS entry pointing back to the server's hostname. Thank you. 0 -
