"Disable SSH password authentication" prevents server from restarting SSHd
So I saw this in the cPanel Security Advisor and foolishly thought that I'd follow its advice:
SSH password authentication is enabled.
Disable SSH password authentication in the "SSH Password Authorization Tweak" area
I closely followed the instructions here:
I had to resort to this hackish instruction to restart the sshd server in safe mode. I have since re-enabled SSH Password Authentication. I can now SSH into the server, but still, it is now impossible to restart sshd.
