changing main shared IP

when I try to change the main shared IP in whm basic setup, the changes are not saved. Am i missing something obvious ? Or is there another way to change this, via ssh.

  Login to your server via SSH and check if the new main shared IP has been reflected in the file /etc/wwwacct.conf. If it has not, manually change the IP in this file.

  I actually found my answer late last night. Under IP Functions/Show or Delete Current IP Addresses, i edited the rouge entry in there and this changed it in WHM Basic Setup also
