VPS is not pointing to Domain

Hi All, Please help me, i am doing for the first time setup. I have VPS from godaddy and i deployed my application and its working fine with IP address and i purchased the domain also from godaddy. But need to point this domain to VPS i am unable to do. Please help.

  if your running dns on the server then use your registered name servers if not edit your DNS for you domain at go daddy

  Does your GoDaddy domain name account give you access to change Nameservers and DNS settings. If you wanted to be lazy, you could always use the GoDaddy name servers, and configure the DNS settings to point to your IP from there. Probably not as efficient as hosting your own NameServers and DNS I guess, but would save quite a lot of work.
